Hey all, I have a x86_64 (AMD64) build of SuSE 10.0 running on a AMD64 PC (duh) and my problem is that whenever I try to play a MKV in xine, i hear a high pitched noise... the video works fine, but that sound dosent stop, and i dont hear anything else. This is the same if I play it in totem or kaffeine. However, if I play it in Mplayer, it plays fine, but I cant seem to pick the audio/subtitle streams in mplayer. If someone can help me solve at least one (preferably both) of these problems, it would be greatly appreciated.

mkv is mplayers format, that is why it works in there.

Man is your friend, man mplayer search subtitle, next a few times.

          v
              Toggle subtitle visibility.
          b / j
              Cycle through the available subtitles.
          F
              Toggle displaying "forced subtitles".

That would set you up.
