I have recently upgraded my PC to the following specs

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice core
Asrock 939Dual-Sata2 Motherboard with a Ali Chipset
512 MB Ram opperating in Singel Chanel mode (1 chip)
Asus Radeon AX800Pro 265 MB Videocard

Now this may sound strange indeed. but i cant mount any CD's on linux. It just won't. and By won't i mean they wont even mount when trying to install. The DVD Drive is just stuck in a infinite loop. Mount just gives a "Trying again" Messages in the log's. the system doesnt freeze it just wont mount anything (my harddisk mounts fine by the way)

Strangly enough under windows, the Drive works perfectly. Ive already double checked the install DVD / CD for errors, Even redownloaded them. but to no avail

anybody have any ideas what this situation is all about.

~Thanks, Tom
