I know this is going to sound like a little bit of a wildcard, but i need to install mysql on to our dr server. Can anyone give me any help on this.
We are using redhat version 8 and mysql standered 4.0.9. I'd like it installed in the /usr/local area. The chap before me installed it last time on the main server.
so far i have a mysql directory with the following in bin, configure, copying.lib, include, lib, share, support-files, changelog, copying, data, install-binary, mysql-test, scripts, sql-bench, tests and some man ones.

Thanks..

Craig.
