I have been having trouble with my keyboard in Novell Desktop Linux. When I boot into the shell I have no problems, but when I boot into either KDE or GNOME the keyboard swaps the z and y keys and has no keys or key combinations that produce a colon or semicolon. I instead get these öÖ also the forward slash on the main keyboard are produces a dash. I have no way to produce quotes. My keyboard is configured as a US 104 key layout. Any idea what might be going on and or how to fix it(question)
