I have not a clue if this was asked before but, I am wondering in Fedora core 4 or any distro of linux how to mount a second harddrive so that i can store files on it much like in windows. I have searched google for the longest time now without sucess.

Thanks!

If it is a second IDE drive on the primary bus with a single partition, use the command below. (for primary drive on secondary bus with a single partition use hdc1 or secondary drive on the secondary bus with a single partition use hdd1)

Mount the drive:
mount /dev/hdb1 /mnt/hdb1

Change to the drive:
cd /mnt/hdb1

Start making directories:
mkdir test
