I keep getting this error message, no matter what I do.

Whenever I set the XFree86 drivers in X, using RH 8.0, it totally stops the X-Server after I have logged off, and attempt to load the new drivers.
I see it try a few times to activate at first, but then the error message pop's up saying "Cannot start X Server. Do you want me to load the default settings?", or something to that extent.

But the default settings are not what I want. I have MPlayer and the video is skippy at best with the Generic drivers, even with my Athlon XP 2000+.

I check the logfile, and it says nothing, except "No Screen Found"

The X Server works fine with the Generic drivers, but as soon as I attempt to load the new ones and restart, it dies.

It could be that I do not have my monitor connected to the DVI port via the DVI-to-VGA adapter, and connected it to the VGA, but there's no way I'll blow another fifty bucks on one for something that MIGHT work. Also, I don't know if RedHat likes my AGP port. Is there a driver I can gett?

I am using:
Redhat Linux 8.0 (downloaded)
Asus A7V8X, KT400
Athlon XP 2000+
ATI Radeon 9000 Sapphire Atlantis Pro 128MB
NEC MultiSync 4FGe

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
