I've searched through some other answers, but I can't find the answer.

I'm not used to Linux. I have a Windows LAN, with 3 Windows machines - called paul1, paul2, and paul4. paul3 is running Mandrake Linux 8.2. i used to be able to see the Lionux machine from the Windows machines. they all had static IP addresses. I had to alter the Windows machines to automatic IP addresses, to accomodate a broadband modem. Now I can't connect to the Linux box. What changes do I need to make?

Please give answers in very simple language, for a non-Linux, non-techie person.
