Linux Help will be brought down for maintenance tonight and will be offline/unavailable for several hours starting around 8pm eastern time. Things should be up and running again around 12am.

Thanks

Yeah it's from stephen kings dark tower series smile.gif

To make a long story short, the machine was running fedora core 2, I tried to use yum to upgrade to fedora core 3 and then to fedora core 4.... it didn't go too well.

Debian is now on the machine. smile.gif

yay to debian

It was a bit of a headache at first, but luckily we had our top guru's on it (well, just Joey) smile.gif After a small hiccup with apache2 which kept Joey up nearly half the night, he finally got things running again. I would like to say that i helped, but I was just as baffled by the problem we were experiencing. I still have no idea what Joey did to fix it, but everything seems in order, and that's the main thing.

Was the site down for quite a while today/yesterday as well?

Wasn't able to access it (Might have been something on my end, though)
