I am a new user in Linux. So i now need to setup a proxy server for my system. But i do not know how to install it. So can anyone help me?

You could set up a NAT server but if your lazy and just want a basic proxy I recommend using 3rd party software like TinyProxy
http://tinyproxy.sourceforge.net/http://tinyproxy.sourceforge.net/
It's very easy to install and use. Just read the readme that comes with it. Its a good quick solution to getting your linux network online.
I used to use it before I bought my router.
