hi all, i'm trying to configure apache on my fedora installation. it goes through all prompts but errors when it's looking for a compiler.

no acceptable c compiler found in $PATH

i searched and found gcc and i placed the path in the $PATH var. but it wstill doen't see it. also, when i reboot, my $PATH entry is gone which tells me i'm missing a step after i add to it.

Can anyone tell me the proper way to add to the path?
i currently do this

PATH=$PATH:/usr/libexec/gcc

that is where i found the gcc dir

also, how can i makle it see the compiler?

thanks for any help, i'm new but i'm a quick learner

Try just adding /usr/libexec
