I'm a total newbie to Linux and SUSE. So I may be missing something really stupid here. I installed SUSE 9.1 on a 47GB partition on a Windows XP machine that's right out of the box. Everything in SUSE seems to be working but I can't get it to recognize the NIC. I've booted back into XP and the network card is working just fine. I've been reading all the forums on SUSE and figured it must be a driver issue. So I down loaded the BroadCom NetXtreme 57xx driver for Linux and installed it. SUSE still won't recognize the NIC. When I go into YaST to configure it the top window sez Network cards to configure "none detected". In the window below in the already configured box it has two Ethernet card with all my IP/DNS numbers and ATI Ethernet controller using DHCP. I've included some of the code I've gathered to help with this problem. Starting to think I'll be a Window's slave the rest of my life.
