im trying to duel boot my pc with xp on an internal hard drive and Mandriva 10.1 on an external hard drive.
how can i get it so when both drives are plugged in and i boot my pc i get an OS options menu so i can choose which OS i want to use?
also what jumper settings do i have to set each drive to, and what boot order in the bios should i use.

thanks for any help

You could install a bootloader (lilo/grub) that comes with your linux distro into the MBR of the external drive, and have in BIOS your first boot device set to USB HDD, second to IDE0 (or whatever)
