Hello --

I'm having big problems with a Red Hat Linux webserver. The server is running version 7.2 it has 2 p3 900 processors. Our primary apps are apache with php, mysql, perl. This is a bulletin board site where we are using UBB 5.47e.

The server has become very unstable at irregular intervals -- it slows to the point that browsers time out on pages and controlling the server through ssh is painfully slow. Watching what is happening I see that when the machine is in this state CPU0 is pegged at 100% system usage while CPU1 is at nearly 0% usage at all.

Any ideas or thoughts about what may be happening or what I should lookj at would be greatly appreciated.
