I'm in need of a username to be upper case. When I attempt to add the user, I get illegal username. I know in fedora this is a way around this but it does not seem to work on red hat 9. Does anyone know of a way to force the creation of the username with capitals?

If you're trying to do this from a graphical application, you can try it from the command line instead. I've never actually tried this, so i don't know if this will make a difference or not.

Thanks for the input but I do everything from command line. I dont like GUI's with linux except for cpanel. But this is for a IP PBX server and our polycomm phones require uppercase letters in the login name.
