Hello everybody!
I have installed RedHat 9 since November and I am a simlpe user, not a linux expert, unfortunately.
So, please help!
I use TelegraphCQ in my Linux OS, a prototype Data Stream Management System built in Berkeley University.
After executing a continuous query that saves the answer to a file, my postgres postmaster fell apart. It stopped working and could not start again.
After some PC restarts the OS seemed to boot but the login screen did not appear.
After a filesystem check I got a message that a percentage of files is not contiguous (?!?).
Is there any solution except of linux re-installation?

Is this a fatal problem?
