Anyone know how to set up samba so that I can dump my i386 directories of my Windows Distributions onto my Linux File Server so that i can do network installs. Xp for me lasts only a month before It bogs down, I only use it for gaming and dont care for Virus scans when it would only take a sec to reinstall it on my fat32 partiton. I use Linux for the rest. tongue.gif Right now samba works and I can see all my other workstations from my linux server. But when logged in on my XP machines. I cant see my server. Any advice?

What distro?

Make sure everything is in the same workgroup. If you dont have Webmin, now might be the time to get it. It has an excellent Samba config tool. (www.webmin.com)
