Hello everyone!

We have a RH9.0EL server in our institution. We have been given telnet accounts to access it.But, while playing xmms, the audio output is sent to the server. Is there any way to redirect the audio output to the remotehost?

Thanks in advance.

You can't pipe it through via anything like SSH, you would need a virtual desktop enviroment of somesort that would handle the audio streaming.

Otherwise you could use a music streamer/net radio to broadcast it.

The key thing here is, that no matter how you do it, its going to eat up your bandwidth like you wouldn't believe. So keep that in mind.
