hello, im new to linux, and i love it, but i have 2 issues. ( running on suse 9.2 pro)

1. no sound, it recognizes it, but no sound. i have a sis 741 intergrated motherboard woth 5.1 ch. audio

2. no internet, im using a wireless network but im not sure of how to set it up, i have a d-link dwl-520 802.11b wireless pci adapter

hope someone can help

I'm right along with you in the "just got it and love it" dept. I am running
SuSE 9.1 and get no sound as well. I read in the release notes why that is. It says that you need to use YaST2 to resolve this. It has something to do with a patch. It did give some brief instructions, if you can get your hands on them. I haven't tried it yet, hopefully I'll have some time this week for it. If I figure it out, I'll let you know, if you get it please e-mail me and let me know.
