I am new to Linux and am using Suse 9.2. I recently downloaded Divx to be able to view a video clip, to install it the site said that I should use the mozilla web browser. After I finally figured out how to install it it seems to have disappeared. I am far to accustomed to windows, if one of you could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Wait what, your are going to have to clear some things up here a little bit.

So you had a video clip, and you wanted to install DivX to watch the clip, and the DivX installer told you to use Mozilla. Now something (either the DivX or Mozilla program?) has dissapeared? Clear it up for me a little and I will help you out. Tel me what specifically you are trying to install, what the trouble is, and what "active" means to you.
