My brother installed Debian, X, and GNOME on his computer but he neglected to make 1024x768 an option for screen resolution. He's locked at 800x600. How can we re run the configuration program to allow him to use 1024x768 ?

For GNOME,there is one GUI based program "display settings" using which you can change the resolution.
