So I'm a brand spankin' new RedHat 8.0 user (kernel 2.4.18-14). I think I've done pretty good for never having used Linux before...I've managed to add NTFS support so I can browse to my MP3s...then MP3 support so I can listen to them. The one thing that I can't figure out, though, is how to get my ethernet card, a 3com 3cr990-TX-97, working. The installation does not automatically detect it and having fiddled around in the netowrk configurator for a while I'm not sure it's doing what I need to do either. I did some research on 3com's website and found a linux driver repository...managed to install the RPM, but can't get it to work after that. Any tips here? All are welcome.
