after unstlling windows xp my mandrake 10 disappeared
do i have to re install it or ther is awy to restore it |

What do you mean by "dissapeared"? Has the bootl oder gone, did you format the paritiotns it is on? Did you delete the partitions?

I did not format nor delete a partition
just install win xp so i can t find linux |

Your linux system wasn't lost, only your bootloader. You need only re-install Lilo (the bootloader) to get back to your linux system which will be perfectly un-damaged.
Put in your first Mandrake CD and boot the computer. Instead of pressing Enter or what ever to continue, get the advanced options and get into Rescue mode. Follow the menues and there should be an option to restore or reinstall the bootloader/Lilo. Select that, let it do its thing, pop the CD out and you should be fine. If you cant get it to work, come back and we will help you out. Don't fret, your system isn't lost, and definitely don't re-install Mandrake completely. -------------------- --Jim Lester
