Well, first of all I don't know I did something wrong. I had to reinstall Mandrake 10.0 after it wouldn't boot anymore. It took me 2 days to get it to install because the computer would freeze up during install. I figured out possibly that was because of a damaged file that was on the CD. It did install and when it loaded for the first time it asked for my login/password like it was in the console. I entered it-thinking it would load to desktop but it is console mode. It is at the command line now--[root@localhost ####]# Did I do something wrong or is there a command I type to get it to load up to desktop? Thanks from the new guy.
