It there an equivalent to the DOS Mode command for stetting the properties of the com port?

I am an extreme novice with Linux. However, I did a simlar internet search and found some DosLinux commands at www.computerhope.com. Hope it helps.

I'm unfamilier with this "mode" command, but if by setting properties you mean setting the irq, io address, things like that, the command you may be looking for is "setserial". Other than that, i really don't know.
