Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I use a Compaq Pressario Notebook with a 20" monitor as a second monitor and have it set up under Win-XP so desktop spans both monitors.

When I switch to Linux (Fedora Core3) the Notebook looses sync (scrolls wildly and changes into diferent colors) and the large monitor displays everything perfectly. However when I physically disconnect the large monitor from the notebook the notebook screen works just fine.

Both are being driven by a Nividia GE Force 420 Go 32M.

Any help welcome - thanks.

I am asuming you installed the NVIDIA modules. Other wise it probably wouldn't work at all. If you didn't, do that. If you did, post your /etc/X11/XF86Config file so I can see it.
