Hi

I'm trying to get this ntp server working on whitebox , but seems I've gotten into some trouble.

my /etc/ntp.conf file looks like this

server time.nist.gov

restrict time.nist.gov mask 255.255.255.255 nomodify notrap noquery

restrict 192.168.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 notrust nomodify notrap

restrict 127.0.0.1

ntpq -p shows the following

remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
*time.nist.gov .ACTS. 1 u 41 64 37 266.614 -53.108 32.494

when I type rdate on the same computer or on another
it says ALARM CLOCK .

what is wrong?

Sincerely
Robert B
