root@bodycount:/usr/local/apache/bin# ./apachectl start
httpd: could not open document config file /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf this is wrong to start with .. i did rm -rf /usr/local/apache2 and rm -rf /etc/apache i did a new install of apache2 with the following ./configuire options ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-mysql --prefix=/usr/local/apache/php --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/php --enable-force-cgi-redirect --disable-cgi --with-zlib --with-gettext --with-gdbm i ran make and make install i then configured made and make install php 4.3.9 setup my httpd.conf file and i get the error i first posted.. it shouldnt be looking there to begin with.. what can i do to fix this problem it shouldnt be looking there.. i dont know what im doing wrong.. ive read endless pages of docs all night but to no avail.. nothing seems to work.. i even rm-rf all the old apache folders.. and reconfigured and make and make install.. it still looks in the old dirs how can i fix it or just remove it all and start over.. /me pulls out hair |
