How can I trigger a php script when a mail comes to my inbox.

I want to execute a php script automaticaly when a mail came to my inbox. I am using linux,php,mysql.

Any one have the idea about it pls help me

are you running your own mail server, what type of mail server setup do you have...

you can run a cron job every few minutes or so to check for new mail in your box
or create a small app that continuously runs in the background..

but as far as how to check it depends on what you are using for your mail server
