HI:

I am new to Linux. I have a project to implement polling on Ethernet MAC. I need some startup tips and code examples. I have 3 computers (1 server and 2 clients). The idea is that Ethernet frames from the client will only be upstreamed to the server when it has a token. The computers are connected with Ethernet NIC cards, but we do not wish to use CSMA/CD, rather we want to change it to a polling like behavior.

Any help would be appreciated.
