When I execute a program it tells me that it can not find this library. It is not installed on my system. Can someone tell me what this library is?

Thanks,
Bob

Checkout this link for information about libsas...

http://scrime.labri.fr/logiciels/libsas/libsas.html

After that make sure that you have that library installed on your system.So what is the result of

$ locate libsas

Note:This command will work,only when you have updatedb current.Else try..

$ cd /
$ find .|grep -i libsas

If you got any results..you need to make sure that your library is in PATH.There several ways to put a library in PATH.One quick fix method is by using LD_LIBRARY_PATH.But this is not often recommened.

But nontheless..just add the following lines to your .bashrc file..
CODE
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/path/to/libsas
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Now execute the script so that changes take place.
$. .bashrc

After that..if you have your library installed your program should work.
