I am a n00b to linux and need some help. I am running Fedora 2 and need help with FireFox. How/Where do i download/install plugins for firefox, mainly the java and the shockwave plugins.

The easiset way to maintain your updates and to install programs in any redhat distro, is in my opinion to use synaptic and apt.

See this thread for how to use apt and synaptic.

Once synaptic is installed,run it from the command line, then search for the mozilla. Mozilla-Flash and Mozilla-J2RE will both show up.
