LAst time we had a poll...which editor you use..there were many people who chose Kate.

Now kate comes with a autocompletion plugin.So..as you type..it will offer you choices to autocomplete.And increases editing speed significantly.

i hate auto-autocompletion, i like manual-autocompletion much better.

For example, applications that "offer" suggestions as i'm typing is just plain annoying (in my opinion). If you ask me, bash got it right with the tab and double-tab completion.

Sorry for replying a bit late..

But kate's plugin offer both the choices..either press ctrl-y for manual completion(bash approach) or you can enable auto-completion from menu.

Any way..if you haven't observed manual completion is there in emacs also.
