i'm running Debian (stable) and i've been trying to get postfix running with sasl support by reading the instructions in postfix-src/README_FILES/SASL_README...
it goes fine until after i do "make install" when it gets to the post-install config script asking for where to place the daemons, tools, config files man pages etc
there are no default directories suggested... and every time no matter what i put in for all of these dirs when it gets to the last one (readme files) it errors saying i need to put an absolute path or "no"
of course i have tried BOTH a path for the readme files and putting in "no" and neither work

so right now i'm stuck with a broken postfix =/

any suggestions?

when postfix-install begins it says "bin/postconf blah blah can't find libsasl2.so.2"
which is dumb... because that so file is in /usr/local/lib and i've specified that as the lib folder in my CCARGS for my make makefiles command
