I've run into some trouble. I tried to patch my PCMCIA drivers and was NOT successful. I restarted linux and it crashed after the following lines:

starting external PCMCIA startproc: exti status of parent of /sbin/cardmgr:1 failed.

starting RPC protmap daemon.

If I take out my PCMCIA card I don't have any trouble starting up?

Any ideas?
