My name says Linux Newbie.. its the truth! I need to know how to install games, apps, etc. from a CDROM. Help is much appreciated.

It is difficult to go into detail without you providing some information for us?

What distribution are you running? Do you know how to mount the CDROM?
What are these games and applications etc. etc...
Are these linux or windows games and applications?
Do they have file extendions of .tgz, .rpm or what?
