I installed SuSE 9.1 a few days ago, but really have very little idea of how to use Linux properly. My wireless networking card (Netgear WG311v2) doesn't seem to work, probably because SuSE 9.1 didn't come with the right drivers (modules?) for it. From what I can figure out, the Prism54 driver (http://prism54.org/) might help, but I have no clue what do do once I get the download. Hell, I'm not even sure which file I'm supposed to download. When I say total newb, I mean I don't know anything about Linux. If I were to try and guess, I would probably download http://prism54.org/pub/linux/stable/tars/2...m54-1.1.tar.bz2 , because it's under Stable->All, and it has the biggest number after it. However, I don't know what to do at this point. Do I try to run it like I would a .exe in Windows? Is there a particular folder that I'm supposed to install it to/put it in? Do I have to do anything else (besides running/putting in a folder) before running YaST again and trying to get my card to work? If I can't get it to work, is it because I skipped a step, or didn't download the right one? Could I mess up everything else in my ignorance? I'd really appreciate any help that I can get in getting my NIC working with Linux. Thanks
