are you talking about managing a database or like a front end tool for google? Be a little more specific about what you want to do.

i want to have a search engine for topics in a site its a intranet site . Somebody told me about quest manager but i dont know it will work for linux. I did some research and found Alkaline and minisearch. but they dont seem flexible. The content will mainly be lots and lots documents mabe in pdf or html and the search engine will search by the title of the document and maybe the words in the documents.

I AM USING APACHE
MDK 10
1.8 PENTIUM
128MB RAM
40 GIG HD
