Mandrake freezes after saying activating swap drives. I'm using a 200gb primary drive with xp pro on it, an Asrock motherboard with no raid, a celeron -d 2.8 and I installed mandrake 10 (download version) on another 80gb. It used to freeze with a kernel dump, but after specifying nolapic, noapic and acpi=off it now hangs after saying [done] for activating swap drives. Any ideas? (My swap space is 500MB). I am using a Geforce 4 mx440 leadtek graphics card, and a serial mouse.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?
Regards
Ruan

You specified "no raid" does that mean your not using the on-board raid or that you turned it off in the bios, that is if that board even has onboard raid, that was just my first thought. Try turning any raid that exist off in the bios and see where that gets you.
