I've upgraded to a Dell 8400 with the following hardware

IDE ATA/ATATPI Controllers
Intel 82801FB Ultra ATA Storage Controller 26552
Intel 82801FBM Ultra ATA Storage Controller 266F

CD-RW NEC DVD+RW DN-2100AD
DVD Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616E

I'm installing RedHat 7.2 with the Kernal at 2.4.18.

I receive boot messages that the IDE isn't reconginzed. I've tried ide=cdrom and noprobe options.

What do I do next? Unfortunately, without being able to install I can't recompile the Kernal.

Thx.
