Hello! I'm trying to run an anonymous file/print server behind my firewal (accessible only to eth1 connections).
I'm running Mandrake Linux 10.0 official and samba 3.0.2a (latest drake rpm avail)
Specifics of the smb.conf are listed at the end of the message.

Starting Point:
I can see the share from within Linux shell (smbclient -L localhost) and it looks fine. It's also visible under "system tools-mount points-samba mounts"

Problem description:
My XP box, with the same Workgroup name, is unable to see the server.

Differential Problem list:

**Firewall or proxy is killing connections.

Since I can't ping the box without the connection being refused (from the LAN to the server) I'm assuming it's a problem with the iptables firewall. How do I allow all connections that come from eth1 (within the private LAN) to proceed to talk with the server undisturbed?

Of all the weirdness, I can ping the external IP on the server from the XP machine - - but not 192.168.1.1 (eth1)

Thanks in advance for your patience and help.

P.S. Post-Script, literally, eh?
