I loaded Red Hat 6.0 with no problem onto a system running Windows 98. I had no problem b4 on another PC I owned and it loaded perfectly. But now I get, once I type in my log in name and password, a message that says, if I can remember right: cbslick@localhost.cbslick

I don't know what to do after this point because it asks me for a command to continue using the os. Previously loaded onto my old pc, it logged me in like a Windows OS. Help? huh.gif

Well, what you have is the console mode or Command Line Interface (CLI). There could be several reasons why x i.e. GUI did not start. x was misconfigured, wrong graphics driver or maybe you didn't select graphical at boot.

At the command prompt i.e the cbslick@..... enter the comand startx. Were there any error messages?
