Hi. I recently started using Mandrake Linux 9.0, and I have run into a couple of problems/questions. The first thing is, I have the Intel 82845G/GL Graphics Controller and it is not working properly. The latest driver to come with ML9.0 is the i810. I used the vesa driver workaround, but I can only get 640x480 resolution at 16 bit color. Is there any way I can get at least 800x600? (In the Mandrake Control Center, it says I am running at 800x600 16 bit color, but in reality it is 640x480.)

The second thing is, how do I install new "commands" into Linux? A script I'm running calls the "strings" command, and it is not found. Thanks for your help.
