Booted the system and got to a page that asks for a username and then password......I put in what i wanted for a name then a password and it is telling me that it is wrong! I am at a loss here....can anyone help me please!

I'm a bit of a newbie to Linux, but at school it always defaulted to username=root password=password
Maybe??

Did you set a root password durring set up? Because if you did, you can log in as root with that password and edit your user list that way and figure it out.

If you didn't set a root password, it should just be blank.

Are you sure you didn't set a user and password durring set up?
