I finally found out how to fix the error of "C Compiler cannot create executables." But now, the make and make install commands won't work. I get this error:

bash: make: command not found

I have found this great wealth of RPMs: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.../9.1/suse/i586/
which cured my first problem. If anyone knows weathor or not theres an RPM in there that can help me, and which one or some other solution to this problem, that'd be great.

I'm running SUSE 9.1 Personal. I pretty sure there is an RPM somewhere that can solve this problem. Whatever it is, I can find it. I just need to know what the name is.
