I am a linux newbie (computer oldbie) and I am stumped. I have the share configured in my linux system and when I try to print a test page the printer (Lexmark x1150) clicks like it is waking up but doesn't print. The error log shows nothing unusual.

How did you configure your printer?

I used system-configuration-printer, chose the smb share that was visible, used PCL5 driver. When I try a test page the printer clicks like it is waking up but nothing happens. The log from the test page shows jobs that start for servicing the request but there are no errors.

Do you want details from each tab of the printer properties page?
