Hello,

I am trying to install a new kernel ( kernel-2.4.21-9.EL.src.rpm) and I am coming up w/ a couple of error messages:

warning: Expected size: 35516477 = lead(96)+signs(344)+pad(0)+data(35516037)

warning: Actual size: 52687

I am installing it by doing the usual:
rpm -ihv kernel-2.4.21-9.EL.src.rpm

After doing that, supposedly there is supposed to be a directory created under
/usr/src/<kernel-version>

I am not seeing this directory.

What am I missing here?

I think the file might be bad. Try either re-downloading it, and or re-downloading it and checking the md5sum.
