Hi guys,

i just installed Linux Mandrake 9.0. it all wen't good. i rebooted machine..choose linux from boot menu i log in as user. then i type startx but it then says a lot of things. looks like errors. there should be a way to fix this. i already logged in a root also. i tried init 5 also. do you guys know what i have to do. please help me

i am a beginner so please explain in detail tongue.gif

I think you can run Xconfigurator and reconfig X. I do not use Mandrake so this may or may not work but it worth a try
