Ok, two things... first, how do I share folders from my nix box to windows? I added a directory in samba.. now what?

second... how do I change my computer name and such.

Ok, nvm... got the sharing working.. but I still need to know how to change the computer name.. can u give me a command to use in the terminal to change this?

For redhat distros, you need to do 3 things ...

1. Use the command:

hostname computer_name.domain_name

2. Edit the file /etc/hosts and change the old computer name to the new computer name.

3. Edit the file /etc/sysconfig/network and make sure the hostname is correct in that file.
