Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I use a Conectiva 8.0, kernel 2.4.18, currently under WindowMaker, and the problem I have with this system is a weird, annoying mouse bug. After some time of use, let's say, 15 minutes or so (it depends), my mouse's... ahn.. 'click place' goes a little bit to the left (i.e., it's not in the same place where the cursor lies). To explain better:
[ ]* X** O***
* place where I want to click
** mouse cursor
*** where the click goes
Well, the normal way is...
If I put my mouse cursor here [X] and click, the click occurs in the same place [O].
What happens is:
If I put my mouse cursor here [X] and click, the click occurs here:
O [X].
This thing doesn't stop, even if I re-start the X server. It only goes back to normal if I reboot my PC.
I hope this can help you guys to understand it. I would really appreciate some help, since this thing is very annoying. Thank you.
