I am trying to set up and Sof2 game server on RedHat 9.....I guessing since I am logged in on the account used to set up the install in the first place i should have all rights...but just to be sure i went to user groups and set the accft as adm....so i go to create the directories i need and it tells me access denied...you don't have permision to creat that directory...or something to that affect....anyway....What am i doing wrong.......Like i said i am using Red Hat 9 with KDE and windows mode on....someone please help.

even admin users don't have complete write privilage on the drive, this is to keep users (even the best of us) from screwing something up by accedent. If you want to have full write access either log in as root or type the command su and than your root password. That should do it for you,
